47 MDS - Acoustic Ceiling
An acoustic spring hanger
The 47M/DS model is a HYBRID acoustic hanger, that is, it is made up of rubber and a steel spring, which provides better soundproofing against low-frequency vibrations.
SENOR always wanted to launch an acoustic hanger different from the rest. For this reason, an improved rubber (made of MEGOL and TC4/GPN) was used in this hanger. This rubber contributes to improve the mechanical properties of the hanger and increases a >10% its acoustic performance. In addition, the spring has an EPOXY coating to increase resistance against bad weather.
Main features
The 47M/DS can be attached to 45/47 mm width metal furring channels, such as the TC-47, the F-530, the MAESTRA 4717 and similar models. It also includes the most advanced locking device (DS) in the acoustic sector.
It provides a resonance frequency of 3-7 Hz.
In order for the isolator to work in the best possible way, that is, always within the load range for which it was designed, there are four different subtypes:
In this way, it is assured that the mount works properly and reduce impact sound at its best. In the case it hang a lower load for which it was designed, the spring and the rubber would remain rigid and therefore would transmit vibrations. On the other hand, in the event its maximum load would be exceeded the hanger eventually would saturate and stop working properly. It should be noted that SENOR has been a pioneer in adopting this system of correspondence between color and charge. A system that in the end has been commonly accepted in the acoustic sector.
